My Story
I discovered life is a whole lot more enjoyable with a strong and fit body and mind. No matter how many times the government and health professionals touted the importance of exercise, I thought I’d be fine with my coffee fuelled walks with friends, weekends dancing around handbags and walking to my parked car or office meetings. I failed to account for the damage accumulating from 30 years in a desk job.

It’s fair to say, I’m not a lifelong, avid fitness enthusiast. However, with age, I found body parts becoming more and more creaky and I didn’t really want to resort to drugs nor live in pain as frankly, I felt much too young. In fact, I felt quite resentful that my body seemed to be losing it. A short spell in a wheelchair and excruciating hip, back and groin pain for months finally gave me the push to do something. I needed to find a way of changing my declining body into a version which would support me living an active, full, enjoyable, second half of my life. Pilates was the solution and I’m amazed at how I’ve lived an actively and pain free since starting.
